Product Showcase
Right then, let's start off with the review. As always we begin with the packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, honestly, you do not want any defects and scratches on it. The ERA is packaged in cardboard.
Before we continue, the ERA will be available in a wide variety of colors and top finished including a woody, Oak or Walnut top cover. The black tops are tempered glass, in the SKU product code, you'll notice TG in the extension. These small 16liter puppies can hold fast processors, a holds dual-slot GPU, AIO water cooling units (max. 240 mm), and up to four storage devices (albeit that is pushing your luck), thanks to a flexible PSU mounting system. Airflow and component cooling is achieved through a chimney design pulling air from below.
The packaging was done decently, risk of damage is fairly minimal.
Included in the bundle is the standard gear like screws, standoffs and zip-ties, and of course the top cover. We received the Era ITX Titanium Gray with Walnut cover. So yeah if you think something 16 liters will be cheap, guess again. This is a 165 EUR / 160 USD costing chassis.
Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag.
Once unpacked we see a little better what the chassis is all about. The chassis is made out of a steel structure with aluminum plating and thus a woody or TG cover.
