7 - Photos - Installing EVGA GeForce GTX 280 HC16
The backside is cooled as well as it has a massive heatsink mounted on top of it. I like that very much as all vendors focus at the frontside only. EVGA lables this a Co-op Backplate and obviously functions for better heat dissipation.
Right, we are going to focus at installation now. First have a look at that massive amount of copper used for the cooler. Respect, that block is going to cool wicked.
On the frontside I already screwed two fittings/barbs in secure. You can detach them again if you decide to go SLI leading outflow to the other cards.
Very clever, however, EVGA does not include an extra set of fittings .. FAIL. So if you go SLI, you'll need to hunt down some fittings to make that happen. They are regular sized fittings, but the BFG H2OC kit's for example have all that additional stuff included as extra.
The backside, we'll focus on the waterblock from here on. These are the two mounts for your water in and outflow. As you can see, pure copper all the way. The detail is quite intense.
