At just 89.99 EUR/USD - AIO for the masses?
Today, we are reviewing the new Deepcool Gammaxx L240 AIO. This is one of the latest AIO coolers from this Beijing company known for their specialization in water-cooled and illuminated cases for the PC enthusiast. There’s also a 120 mm version available, but we’ve received the 240 mm one. The Gammaxx L240 uses the very popular all-in-one formula, with a radiator, a pump, and fans (2 x120 mm in this case) that are coupled into a single, closed loop. But is it any different compared with many other products of this kind available on the market? Maybe the looks? Not really, as the pump is round and of standard size, as opposed to the Gamerstorm Castle 240 RGB that we’ve already reviewed, and which has a higher pump block.
Deepcool stayed on the safe side this time. The top section of the pump has a mirror-like finish (when the lights are off), with LEDs in the center and also forming a ring around the unit. Most of the popular sockets are covered, and of course, this includes AM4 as well. The radiator is a 274 x 120 x 27 mm aluminium unit with braided, flexible tubing and two 120 mm PWM fans capable of reaching speeds up to 1800 rpm. RGB lighting is supported on compatible motherboards from:
- Asus Aura Sync,
- Gigabyte RGB Fusion,
- MSI Mystic Light Sync,
- and Asrock Polychrome Sync.
There’s no dedicated Deepcool software, and no SATA-powered lighting controller is included (unlike with the Castle 240 RGB), so you can’t actually control the lighting if you don’t have any LED headers on your motherboard. As a result, the product is quite cheap, with an MSRP of 89.99 USD/89.99 EUR /79.99GBP. But will that be enough to earn our recommendation? Let’s take a look the Deepcool Gammaxx L240 cooler, then.
