Listening
Well, as always there is only one good way to see if a music product indeed is good. And that's by listening to music. To ensure at the least a bit of objectivity (there is nothing more subjective then music/sound) I am using my standard "palette" of songs.
My personal flavor in sound is a deep clear bass, average mid and high range of treble. Now I have listened to MUVO TX and its standard headphones a lot the past couple of days now, as it is the best and most objective method I could think of and found them quality-wise to be extremely good for music. The bass is clear, deep and not limited in its power. It won't go far enough to satisfy me 100% but then again we are limited to headphones.
I must admit that I'm a spoiled brat when it comes to music though. The treble from the device is actually good, really sharp and high treble is what you want to hear and of course can set with the equalizer.
There is one bump though, if you listen to the 'mid' range of sound (voices) then it lacks a little as it is somewhat flat. It's still extremely acceptable but the voice when someone is singing just is not 100% right. Most of this can be filtered in/out by equalizing sound though. Overall, the MUVO TX impressed me for sure.
While listening to it I must state that acoustic music sessions just sound beautiful. Load that MTV Unplugged CD and you'll have an awesome experience. When you decide to go with blistering guitar sessions then this is definitely not the speaker set to get as that mid range was bothering me a little, stick to the dire straights and you'll be fine though. The bass lacks pure volume to push out the hard pounding drums and will run into problems when you turn up the volume. Yes, DJ Tiesto will laugh at you.
