The screen is fairly small, but thanks to sharp text and a blue backlight it is highly legible. A 24 x 8 mm LCD screen. There is no count of the number of songs in a folder. This is because all MP3 and WMA files are played back regardless of where they are stored. There is no selection of what to play.
During playback the LCD can show elapsed time, track title (scrolling), play/repeat/shuffle mode, battery life, EQ mode, and play/pause. Southpaws can even rotate the LCD by 180 degrees so the scroll lever is easier to use. Lower picture of course shows the equalizer that you can define or simply choose a EQ preset.
