On the top side, we can see a 92 mm Rifle bearing Fan (NR092L), it is made by Corsair itself. It’s 15 mm thick. The manufacturer’s website states that it has a Rifle bearing. The maximum rpm is rated at 3950, but it’s not loud even at about 60-70% load.

The dimensions are 128 × 102 × 65 mm (W × L × H), which is typical for the SFX standard. Corsair’s PSU is built with 100% Japanese, 105℃ capacitors, providing the highest reliability, and that’s the reason why they offered a 7-year warranty (so it’s very good but Seasonic does offer 10 years for the Focus SGX).

The unit without cables weighs about 900g.

As for the cables, the supplied ones are sufficient in terms of number and (for most users of small systems) length as well. The 24-pin ATX motherboard cable is 30 cm long. The Molex leads are 34 cm long, and SATA power cables are 46 cm in total, whereas the 8-pin ATX CPU power cable is 40 cm long, which is great for small systems. Last but not least, the PCIe graphics leads reach a very modest 50 cm. Obviously, all of these cables are modular, so you won’t have to plug in the ones that you don’t need in your system, reducing cable clutter in your PC. You can connect up to six SATA devices, three Molex devices, and two graphics cards with two PCI-E connectors each. Suffice it to say that if these connectors are not enough for you, then your system is not going to look much like a mini-ITX configuration (which is the type of chassis in which SFX-L power supplies are used 99% of the time). According to the manufacturer, we should find quality components inside, so let's open it up.

Inside, there are only high-end Japanese capacitors certified for 105°C. The OEM is Great Wall. The soldering quality is very good. There are several places that have been corrected by hand and we have an excess of flux there. On the reverse side of the PCB, there are a lot of additional electronic components that did not fit on the other side of the laminate - among them, a Silicon Labs Si8230BD integrated circuit, a PFC Champion CM6502UHHX controller, and a Champion CM6901X resonant controller.

In addition, there are some Infinno IN1S429I-SCG chips and a PWM 5 Vsb Infineon ICE5QR1680AG controller. Of course, for lack of space, you will also find the transistors of the straightening section and one generating the voltage of the 5 Vsb line in this area. The rectifier MOSFETs are additionally cooled by the housing and aluminum sheet, via a thermocouple.
