When you activate the Corsair K70 Core keyboard, one of the first things to catch your attention will be the luminescent backlight that accentuates the caps-lock, scroll-lock, and Num-lock keys. More than just that, this keyboard stands out with its radiant red backlit keys. These keys can be adjusted to various levels of brightness, or if you prefer, can be turned off entirely.

The design ethos of the K70 Core is evident in its architectural changes. Notably, Corsair has innovatively relocated all the function keys, which now encompass keys such as Windows, Light dimming, and light effects, to a more accessible left-hand position. Moving upwards, the Corsair emblem not only graces the top frame but does so with flair, being illuminated by captivating RGB lighting. This is a marked departure from the older models where the logo was simply attached as a badge.

Delving deeper into its design, the K70 CORE is tethered by a two-meter-long cable made of a plush, dark rubber. While it offers durability, some users might find its thickness a tad pronounced. Furthermore, the multimedia key, in harmony with the Fn key, unlocks a myriad of functionalities. Corsair has ensured that the K70 Core stands out by incorporating their proprietary Linear Red mechanical switches. Not only do these switches facilitate smooth typing feedback, but they have also been pre-lubricated, ensuring a silky operation, instantaneous rebound, and an unparalleled typing experience. These features, combined with a light actuation force and a robust durability index of up to 70 million keystrokes.

The Corsair K70 Core keyboard's design is not just about aesthetics; it also champions functionality. Its dual-layered architecture provides sound and shock absorption. This design is pivotal in dissipating the pressure exerted during typing and proficiently minimizes the resonance sound by occupying the voids within the keyboard's structure. As for customization enthusiasts, the dynamic RGB backlight offers a spectrum of lighting effects, all modifiable through the intuitive iCue driver software.

The keycaps, made of high-quality ABS material, have been fashioned using a dual-tone injection-molding technique. The crowning touch is the aluminum alloy top cover that bestows a luxurious sheen. Functionally, the Corsair K70 Core keyboard is replete with avant-garde features. Be it the N-Key Rollover, Full-Key Conflict-Free Typing, or Macro programming, this keyboard has it all. Such features bolster the K70 Core's credentials, making it an optimal choice for a plethora of tasks. To label the latest Corsair K70 Core as merely a gaming keyboard would be a disservice. It's a holistic multimedia keyboard that seamlessly integrates with any system.
