The core and fundamental features of a keyboard like the in the K series from corsair, always have had that same look and feel. It is no different for the K57 despite it being wireless, has Capellix LEDs and of course is membrane-based. Obviously, the packaging has changed to suit the professional Corsair line of products with the logo. And yeah, wireless man, on a full battery charge you can reach (advertised) 175 hours of continuous use with no backlighting. At level 1 brightness (33%) you get 35 hours go time, 20 hours on level 2 (67% brightness), and 8 hours at max brightness, which is not even pleasant to the eyes really. So for anything with RGB, these are good values. The wireless features a 128-bit AES encryption as well, so everything you send and receive has a layer of encrypted protection.

Unpacking shows the bundle kit, the keyboard, wrist rest and a manual/warranty guide. The K57 RGB Wireless is marketed as a gaming keyboard. The RGB back-lights can be dimmed colored and even configured on a per-key basis. We'll show you the keyboard powered on over the next few pages of course.  As with Function key combinations, you can change lighting options.

If the right side numeric keys weren't chopped off and hey now, we get six G keys for some profile and macro fun. The keyboard weighs in at 0.95 kg / 2.09 lbs and, made out of a plastic base with a dark cover. The looks definitely share the same DNA 'feel' of Corsairs keyboards, there are subtle changes and differences though.

Here you can see the deeply immerged LED backlighting, configurable, of course.
