The system supports various forms of connections including series, parallel, or a combination of the two. Each radiator or fan is equipped with two connectors that facilitate daisy-chaining.

The iCUE Link hub, the system's core, supports the connection of up to fourteen devices, such as fans and pumps. This hub is intended to be placed inconspicuously behind the motherboard and it features two iCUE Link ports. Connection to the system is accomplished via a USB 2.0 for data transfer and a PEG for power delivery. The hub can supply up to 168 watts of power, making it capable of accommodating diverse combinations of pumps and fans.

The iCUE Link product range includes the QX120 RGB and QX140 RGB, they can be connected with the aid of iCUE spacers on one side and dummy pieces on the other, facilitated by magnetic attachment.

Every iCUE Link-compatible component integrates a microcontroller to allow for flexible fan connections. This controller's computational capacity can be utilized to generate visually appealing effects. For the iCUE Link coolers, a standard 60cm cable will be included. However, there will be availability of additional cable lengths, versions with angled connectors, and splitter cables.
