Corsair Gaming H1500 Dolby 7.1 Headset

With the launch of the professional Corsair Gaming line, the H1500 is headset has been revamped and reintroduced onto the market. Armed with good looks a comfortable feel and pretty great audio quality this product is bound to impress. it has big 50mm neodymium drivers and newly revised USB drivers that include Dolby 7.1 surround sound, it is capable of offering 16-bit/48 KHz playback and has an excellent frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. In stereo you can apply Dolby Pro Logic IIx certification and in 5.1 and 7.1 you get to fool around with Dolby 7.1 surround. All that and a new and a new color theme as well, Corsair Gaming is back baby.

Over the years Corsair has moved from being a memory company towards a much more diverse entity targeted at gamers. Memory, SSDs, power supplies, chassis', keyboards, mouses, cooling and sure, audio products as well. On the audio front Corsair now has moved products to their professional gaming line called 'Corsair gaming'.

Corsair added the H1500 model and which proclaims to be a Dolby 7.1 surround gaming headset that brings in realistic multi-channel-like gaming audio. Next to that, the 50mm drivers used in combination with a software suite produce audio at a level that makes the H1500 really good to listen to music, movies and of course gaming.

With nice big Neodyne 50mm drivers this headset connects to your USB port and as such does not have regular audio jacks. Being tied to USB means you'll be tied to a chip that is supported, Corsair uses a C-Media chip (likely CM6302) which has support for Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows X. Windows 8.1 is obviously supported as well, you will need to download the latest driver for the full software suite which allows you to tweak audio to your audiophile preference.

Tagged at roughly 90 € and a cheaper 80 USD the product will carry a 2 year warranty ensuring that the headset will 'love you long time'.
