Corsair Dominator 6GB DDR3, 1866MHz, DHX
DXH - Corsairs Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology is a patented technology. Here we can see that heatspreader a tad more up-close and personal. The idea is that heat is moved away from the actual memory module and this increases potential overclocking. DHX modules have an extended PCB/grounding plane. Corsair connects their heatsink to the grounding plane. That way the actual PCB is cooled better.
Overall, next to performance, a very nice looking kit for sure, I like the black PCB, and sturdy heat spreaders. Aesthetically very pleasing.
Here we have it live and active in our test system. Looking good for sure. But there's something missing isn't it ?
And the final stage, here we have the Corsair Dominator Airflow fan mounted onto the memory. A really easy process to mount. The photo turned out a little bit too dark, sorry for that. I blame the black memory PCB and heat spreaders though ;)
