The second kit we also test today is that mighty fine 2GB XMS2-6400 Pro memory.

Our XMS2-6400 Pro review sample came packaged in a clear plastic wholesale blister pack that presents the memory in all its glory.

Some versions of Corsair's Pro Series of memory have black heatspreaders, but this particular version, the XMS2, fancies ribbed (I always prefer the ribbed kind) aluminum heat spreaders, and of course, its the trademark feature of Corsair's Pro series, a set of activity-indicating LED's set into the top edge of the memory.

The platinum-colored aluminum heatspreaders have been installed with thermal pads instead of double-sided sticky tape. Respect to Corsair for helping to actually cool the RAM, instead of insulate and heat up the memory chips.

We see multi-colored LED's along the top edge of the module. This is standard for the PRO series RAM from Corsair. It's basically an activity meter, visually displaying what's going on in the circuitry of your modules. Let me show you that a little better.
