Product Showcase - Interior
When we open up the side panel you get a sense of how big this chassis is for a mid-tower chassis. The interior of the Scout 2 is done just right. For example the CPU cooler height can be 162 mm / 6.4 inches and your graphics cards length can size up to 287mm / 11.3 inches. If you removed the top HDD bay then you can install a 399mm / 15.7 inch graphics card.
Motherboard installation wise the CM Scout 2 Advanced uses the standard motherboard stand-offs that are positioned throughout the tray to fit specific motherboard sizes. It is a mid-tower chassis so the motherboard form factor sizes supported are Micro-ATX and standard ATX.
Let's focus on the storage bays for a second, you may install 3 ODDs (tool-less), 7 HDDs and 4 SSDs for increased expandability There are two 120mm fans in front of the 3.5" drive bays keeping your HDDs cool. There are in and exhausts at the front and back of the drive bays in the side panels so airflow should be pretty optimal.
The CPU area aka top left corner then, a 120mm rear exhaust fan is factory installed and the top exhaust fans you will need to install yourself. The chassis has 120mm mounts so if you opt liquid cooling only 120/240 mounts are supported.
To the left you can see the Expansion Slots in a 7+1 (vertical) configuration. You could use the vertical one for say a USB 3.0 port bracket, wifi antenna... whatever floats your boat really.
