Silicon Power
Silicon Power
We also ran into Silicon Power, the company with the most simple yet totally understandable name. This company, on occasion, we review some items for.
They recently announced these fast little buggers. Along with a retractable USB port, the drive features a light, transparent body with a rhombus facet inside. The Touch 810 is available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities and comes with a lifetime warranty. The Computex organization actually awarded it. It's so small... very sexy.
SP will also be releasing a 500 GB storage unit that is sturdy and rigid. In fact, this little box of wonders here passes military drop standards. Now I don't know what that means, but I'm sure it's good :-) No, the A10 series was tested with a military grade transit drop test, and passed.
Here's a totally new design SSD we'll be reviewing in their future M10 drives. What an awesome look by the way, that carbon fiber theme is totally catching me.
Featuring dual interface, USB and SATA II, it can be installed internally or used as an external hard drive. When used as an external hard drive, the aesthetic design suits the fashion conscious consumers that want the looks and reliability, yet not compromise on performance. Silicon Power's M10 2.5 inch SATA II SSD is available from 32GB~256GB capacities for users to choose from.
Oh yeah... and they use rubbers. :-) I tried explaining to our marketing contact as to why this concept will never work in Europe. Great stuff for Asian based countries though.
