ECS
ECS
One of the companies that I always enjoy to review for is ECS. ECS came from a background of being a tier 2 manufacturer, big in the OEM segment. A year or two ago things started to change, and they wanted to open up the retail market as well. They did that with moderate success. However, with each and every product that they release ECS impresses me. They take criticism very serious and improve upon it. That is a quality a company needs in this business, and it's a quality that they certainly have.
Their products remain affordable yet have a reach in the niche market. In the TICC building we met with ECS, and let's have a look at what they had on display.
ECS a year or two ago introduced a Black series motherboards. The black series is targeted at the more enthusiast audience. ECS is now bringing that branding towards their graphics cards and of course the design is ... all black. Have a look at the different coolers you'll see over the next couple of photo's.
This cooler is a little more recognizable, obviously that is the GTX 275 with on top of it's Artic Cooling latest offering. You'll notice by the way that the GTX 275 has it's core clocked at 700 MHz and the memory at 2268 MHz.
And sure, again the AC cooler. This is the Accelero GTX series cooler being used. Beneath that whale of a cooler is the GTX 285 clocked at 715 MHz. The Accelero coolers are really good.
Now you see a small typo on the description there, but of course this is the GeForce GTS 250. Again custom black themed cooling. This card again is overclocked at a fairly high 815 MHz.
