eVGA
eVGA
One of the bigger GeForce graphic card partners from NVIDIA is of course eVGA. They're always hard to find at exhibitions, but we are certainly very fond of them. Their graphics card line up is top notch, their motherboard series is always interesting and sure .. we love the precision application as well, but that's because it's programmed by our in-house programmer, Alexey :-)
eVGA is big, and so are their product. In fact I just finished off a test on a 1792Mb model GeForce GTX 275; which will be reviewed soon here at Guru3D.com. However next to all the graphic card madness they offer, eVGA slowly is going very aggressive on their motherboards. Face it, it's good business, and if you do things right then there certainly is a big market for it. We recently tested their eVGA X58 Classified edition motherboard, oh boy was that thing delicious. Please check out that review if you haven't done so already. With that in mind have let's have a look at some off the products they had lined up at Computex ... well in the hotel really :-)
P55 was the word at eVGA today. With striking similarities to the Classified design, here we see eVGA P55 chipset motherboard. Naming has, as I can understand has not yet been finalized. P55 boards are pending a release in September this year, everybody is of course waiting on Lynfield aka Core i5 processors. This would be the eVGA codename 655 SLI FTW Edition (132-LF-E655) motherboard. As stated it will use 45nm socket LGA 1156 Lynnfield processors.
Considering Lynfield will be mainstream processors, this board is a really high-end board with three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots. It also features a PCI-E x1 slot positioned at the very top and two standard PCI slots.
Similar to the X58 SLI Classified, this board also features the red glowing E from eVGA, but just for fun of course.
eVGA also has this motherboard lined up. Codenamed 132-LF-E657. interstingly enough the P657 extension hints towards a P57 chipset. You'll spot 12-phase analog PWM design powered by dual EPS 12v connectors,
There's also an X58 LT motherboard in the works, it will have slightly less power phases making it not a uber-extremely over-lockable product. However, the price will drop to 230 USD, and as such this board is going to be really similar compared the original X58 motherboard from eVGA. The coloring scheme is going to change BTW, it will be two0ton, likely black and red.
More X58 loving .. eVGA is also going mATX form factor just like the ASUS Gene series.
The product is labeled EVGA X58 SLI Micro with SKU 141-BL-E756. The board is pretty spiffy and comes wwith two PCI-Express x16 2.0 slots that allow for dual-slot SLI cards.
This X58 SLI Micro will have a 6-phase analog PWM design with a single EPS 12v connector. As expected, the board comes with six triple-channel DDR3 1600MHz slots, six SATA II 3.0Gb/s slots, an onboard LED for POST codes and temperature monitoring. Now that is a sexy little gimp alright. I've requested a sample for review, so once this board is finalized we'll definitely check it out for you guys. Pricing will be roughly 200-250 USD.
I think we already showed this business solution dual-screen setup in the 2008 at NVISION. But this is the 'interview' dual monitor system. And I was just thinking, this might be an interesting release for MS Fligthsim fans as well. EVGA Interview Dual-Monitor System offers two 17" wide-screen WXGA LCD screens and can receive input signals from dual DVI Digital or dual VGA Analog sources. Two LCD screen panels can also open and close horizontally.
EVGA Interview also features an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, a microphone, a headset output, USB 2.0 ports and two stereo speakers.
