Computex 2009 - Day 1

Developed by a company in Germany, and i assume purely for marketing purposes, MSI also had a GTX 285 on display with a rather unique water-block labeled under HydroGen OC. Admittedly, that's a fairly cool looking liquid CPU block.

This probably might be my favorite of the show. it's simple, you'll either hate or love the design. Here we see a Radeon HD 4890 from MSI with the new Cyclone cooler. Now you need to understand that these heatpipes you see are massive... 10mm for the two bigger ones, and from what we heard these cards are overclocking wonders.

Here we have MSI's 790GX-8D motherboard for the latest AMD processors. MSI 790GX-8D is for AMD's Phenom II AM3 processors with the latest 790GX chipset.

Absolutely interesting to see was MSI's new Wind Top, a 500 USD 18.5-inch net-top with single-core Intel Atom 230 processor, up to 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive, together with a DVD burner. The 16:9 display runs at WSXGA resolution and has an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam, stereo speakers and microphone. Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n, gigabit ethernet, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, audio in/out, four USB 2.0 ports and a modem. The A2200 model has a touch screen LCD panel, which might be handy with Windows 7.

As you guys have read MSI recently announced their Syren series sound products. This is the SyrenSound Hardcore, which should be a really high-end soundcard priced at roughly 200 USD. The SyrenSound X-Fi sound card is powered by Creative Audio Processor CA0110, optimized for PCI Express to deliver accelerated audio while supporting X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Audio technology.
