2 - AMD
Now in the AMD booth they were also showing of some wicked case-mods, Phenom based of course. Check that one out, a Thermaltake casing with AMD CrossFireX system and dual Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics cards. That's a PC with bragging rights alright.
This here is AMD Live! A standardized design that ensures connectivity among other HT equipment/systems with this certification. What I found so interesting about this HTPC was that the long add-in board in the middle was actually an amplifier. So this HTPC didn't need an external receiver. The Boxes hook up to the HTPC and could output something like 120 Watt per channel. The SNR on the think is supposed to be astronomically good.
Here you can see that add-on board amplifier, pretty cheap as well. Roughly 50-60 USD. Small hint to AMD representative, don't use a mainboard stamped 'Dead on Arrival' at the processor socket, really .. not professional.
