Performance
This is what really counts, right? How well it performs and if it actually does what it promises.
As with every heatsink, fan or anything that relies on air to cool things down, unless it has a steady inflow of fresh air, it wont work. To get the most of any device that cools with air, your case must be ventilated with the basic setup. A fan in the lower front part of the case to suck air into the case, and with a fan on the upper rear (the butt) of the case to blow air out of the case. The Card Cooler XT is a device that recycles air inside the case and so it needs fresh air or it will keep circulating the same warm air. When I first saw the fans I had a feeling this thing was going to ruin the air flow. But it seems that I was wrong, and it does help a little.

Test system:

CPU: AMD64 Socket 754 3200+
Graphics card: MSI NX6800GT (nVIDIA 6800GT)

(All stock speeds).

After playing COD2 for an hour without the fans my CPU temp was 42c, motherboards chipset was 35c and the graphics card (nVIDIA 6800GT) hit a max of 75c. Room temperature was 26c at time of measurement.

After installing the Card Cooler XT and again, playing for an hour, the CPU was at 38c, the motherboard at 29c, and the graphics card at 75c max.

After CoD2, I also run United Devices Agent for an hour without the fans and the CPU was at 41c, motherboard at 33c.
