Timber! With the chassis on its side, we get a good look at the base of the unit. There is, naturally, no full-length filter. The PSU's filter is removable, held in by four tabs. Simple, but effective. The case is supported by four somewhat oversized feet. I don't mean oversized as a derogatory term, here, by the way. I would certainly prefer my glass panel case to be steady on its feet than not.
A word on build quality and weight, at this point. I stated earlier that the case weighs in at a shade over 7kg. It is fairly hefty, and whilst maybe not great for whenever you need to move the case around, you only need to do so a few times. If you need to lag your PC around a lot, maybe go mATX or ITX? The panels themselves are milled out of steel, and have a 'matte' feel to them. I now prefer this over smooth metal. For one, it actually makes the case easier to grip. For two (and, for me), things that are matte or have a 'blasted' texture feel more high-end or premium. I don't know why I feel this way, but I do.
The tempered glass side, in terms of how it is connected to the case, is relatively standard. In no way is the case 'captive', sadly, meaning that a hand/body dance is needed to ensure the glass is flush with the side of the chassis before it is screwed in. If you're halfway sensible, you'll do this with the case on its side. Luckily, Bitfenix has gone the 'standard' route with the retention screws, making them removable with just your fingers.
The Enso Mesh is all about looks if we're being honest. The is space aplenty for RGB strips (which, again, were provided to me), and again we have that front panel RGB illumination to play with. With the case in profile, turned on, and components installed, I have to say that it looks absolutely fantastic. I did, actually, prefer the white version of the case, but as I worked with the black variant, it really grew on me. Graceful, but just a little menacing?
There is a lack of an accessories box, with my requisite screws/bolts and other frippery being all bagged together, zip-tied to one of the hard drive cages. This is a little bit of a letdown, on two fronts. The first, well, no box. I'd have liked to have seen one, as just that little touch extra can mean a lot. Second, expecting the user who has just paid upward of 100 USD to self-sort their own screws is a little bit of a liberty, no? There is also an included manual, which is very basic, but functional.
The Mesh can support 160mm PSUs, which is actually slightly shorter than cases like the 275R (my outgoing chassis). If anything, this is the only point against it potentially being a candidate for an HEDT build. HEDT needs more power, and whilst you can get very high capacity units for, within this dimensional budget, you might want or need more. For example, 9980XE/2950X, a 2080Ti or 2, and you could easily be pushing the 800+ mark with the system at full load.
