For SSDs you will need to revert to four screws though. Mind you the left side retention clip needs to come out and stay out in order for an SSD to fit. All pretty plain and simple stuff really.

Then just slide it in and secure it. Don't forget to put back that front side cover.

Once powered on, we have three SSDs installed. The green lights indicate all storage units are OK. If an HDD goes bad, that LED will change color to red. The photo, unfortunately, is over-exposed, but that ethernet LED has changed to purple, and that seems to be the universal indicator for 10 Gbps ethernet as our switch as well turns to purple once a 10 Gbit/s link is detected.

As you can see port 1 and 2 are fully connected to the 10 GigE infrastructure. That's faster than a SATA3 (= 6 Gbps) port my man. Lovely. Let's have a peek at the software side of things though.
