To sit up straight or lean back while watching a movie or relaxing, you can adjust the backrest by pulling a lever on the side of the chair. You have the ability to move from a fully upright position to a position that is practically horizontal. To adjust the backrest, you must first raise it and then lean forward or backward, and the backrest will adjust accordingly.
The adjustment handles beneath the chair, a slight discrepancy becomes apparent. Departing from conventional handles, the ASUS ROG Destrier incorporates fabric loops. This design choice maintains the same functionality while adding an unusual visual element. However, a minor typographical error was found in the fabric of these loops, with the 'TILT' loop displaying as 'TIL T.'
Despite this oversight, the ASUS ROG Destrier differentiates itself from other gaming chairs, which often mimic ordinary office chairs beneath the seat, by introducing distinct and unique elements throughout its design.
Believe it or not, the most problematic aspect of the assembly process was attaching the headrest (shown above) and in specifically its acoustic panel. The provided diagram lacked clarity, and following the correct order of assembly was crucial. Both components required a massively tight fit, complicating the installation process.
At the wheelbase of the chair (a 5-arm metal base ensures the solidity of the entire unit), five sturdy 65 mm wheels are easy to maintain. These, at the least feel rubberized so will not dent or scratch your floor very quickly. The manufacturer makes certain that they are suitable for use on both soft and hard surfaces. Overall, the chair can carry a maximum weight of 150 kg, demonstrating the high level of construction quality of the gaming chair.
The Destrier has knobs for the lumbar region, which we find brilliant. Size-wise, you can configure it at your disposal. There's plenty of room even for a tall guy like myself (I'm 197cm tall). It has been a genuine delight to sit in this chair daily. Also, the ability to alter the seat depth is uncommon in gaming chairs. A lever allows you to move the seat back and forth.
