Unlike traditional racing-style gaming chairs, the Destrier takes a more open and ergonomic approach, resembling office chairs in its design. Assembling the ROG Destrier may require some effort, particularly for those less experienced in chair assembly. With many parts made of aluminium, including the armrest frame, chair base, and back frame, it weighs more than typical plastic variants.
Placing the seat on the edge of a table can facilitate easier attachment of the backrest and armrests. Visually, the ROG Destrier leans towards an office chair design, prioritizing ergonomic seating over a cramped racing-style bucket seat. While it retains some ROG design elements like logos and red and black accents, the standout feature is the large, padded plastic acoustic panel. This panel aims to block outside noise and distractions during gaming, but its effectiveness is limited due to its size and optional nature.
During the assembly process's fifth step, a minor oversight occurred regarding the armrest installation. This step involved using six screws and corresponding washers to secure the armrests.

The chair is designed to accommodate people weighing up to 150 kilograms. The seat and backrest feature isolated foam padding and air-permeable mesh, providing a pleasant level of firmness and breathability. The seat's slight forward slope, coupled with additional padding, offers support without discomfort or restricted blood flow to the knees.
