VRM - voltage regulator module
VRM - voltage regulator module
Regarding the VRMs, you’ll find a nice package here. This setup should be enough for CPUs like even the i9 i9 12900K. The configuration of VCORE+VCCGT is 19+1.

You can see the two 8-pin EPS connectors. The Vcore controller is the Renesas RAA229131 which gives 20 phases. The Vcore MOSFETS (19* RAA220105) deliver 19*105A = 1995A. For the VCCGT - the controller is the same (Renesas RAA229131), but there is one RAA220105 MOSFET - 105A. For the VCCAUX - the controller is the RAA229001 with 2*ISL 99360 60A giving a total 120A.
The radiators for the VRMs are solid and weigh adequately.
One 40 mm fan is used in the radiator on the left side, and you can install another 30 or 40 mm on the top side of the motherboard. Based on the motherboard’s looks and weight, it should do its purpose good (which we’ll check later).
