Benchmarks: De/Compression - 7-Zip Multi-threaded
In this segment of the benchmarks, we'll walk through compression software applications. We'll use 7-ZIP and look at both compression and decompression performance. This is a relatively new addition to our benchmark suite, more processors will be added over time. 7-Zip is a multi-threading archiver. What you'll see often in the benchmarks is that not all software likes many cores, the 7-zip compression is such an example.
Note: our result set has been reset as we upgraded to build v18.05 for 7-Zip, over time more CPUs will be added.
