Packaging, hey we show you everything my man, we always start off with packaging so you know what to look for in the stores -- it's as simple as that really.
Here we have the DIMMs after unpacking. This is the 8 GB 2933 MHz kit 2x 4GB DIMMs. Great design, cool that the PCB is black. Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT), the memory chips are supposed to have direct contact with the heat sink in order to ensure that both memory and the board operate at the same temperature and can thus provide the best performance. The PCB has eight layers with a total of two ounces of copper. Intel's XMP version 1.3 if of course also supported.
You may change the color to yellow/gold for the heat spreaders as an extra set is included into the kit. The heatspreaders are made out of aluminum for improved heat conductivity. This kit can manage latencies of 12-14-14-36 at 1.65 Volts, and that is a high latency for this memory alright. For optimal stability we do recommend you stick to the manufacturer suggested settings.
It is the very same for packaging, it's very good to see voltages being reported on there as well. A lot of memory producers lack this info, yet it is so important. Missing on the sticker is the command rate though, at an activated XMP profile at 2933 MHz that is a whopping 3T. With expensive memory often come some extras, Adata offers a life-time warranty with these memory modules, you can't beat that. We like the black PCB, styling wise (hey it matters in a high-end cool looking rig) this is a very tasteful kit aesthetically wise.
