Seems like an impressive chip/console. Glad it's shipping with Mesh Shader support too - seems like it's a technology that can significantly improve realism with LODs but Turing is the only current arch that supports it until RDNA2.
The dedicated sound stuff seems cool as well.
I'm really glad Phil Spencer is leading the Xbox team now -- guy is truly a gamer and definitely appreciates the hardware side of things.

This is going to be pretty awesome, but i'm not buying an 8k tv anytime soon so i won't get the super duper benefits. It still should be tons of fun and the full backward compatibility will be nice and a good selling point.

How do you get 16GB RAM@320bit Interface, clearly on the picture there are 10 RAM chips, this would mean 1,6GB RAM chips or in bit 12,8Gbit. Never heard of RAM chips in that size. Theoretically 1,5GB are possible with gddr5/6

Consoles are actually getting interesting lol Wonder what that spec will cost though

@Brasky
lol. are you also gonna miss out on a +1000 HP car because they exist?
8K is useless until you pass 85K (for tv) or are sitting 1 ft away from a +50in monitor.

I don't need the full 1k horsepower car, maybe the 707 would be be enough to satiate me. Denial

Nice specs, looks well considered and designed. I am now intrigued to see what sony is doing with the ps5 considering both are AMD derived.

crap, mistyped. meant above 85in, which clearly is the case with your 135in screen size.
not talking about human eyes. what we can "see", doesn't equal what actually makes a difference when using a "screen".
we can pick up detail up to 32K, wont matter if the screen is too small and too far away.
my problem is with ppl talking they "cant" upgrade to 8K/that there is no content etc,
yet without sitting at a distance that's below the screens height (about 3ft for a 65in in 8K)
or running screens LARGER than 75in, you will not see any improvements vs the same screen running in 4K.
we have some 8K in the store, and i did "try" it with a couple of co workers, as well as customers,
and they couldn't tell it was 8K until standing 2ft in front of it (65 in), even with the tv running a 8K signal.

Honestly, this looks pretty good. I hope it brings more power to the game so that PC graphics from ports improve as well.

yeah, getting tired of those 30 fps xbox ports like NFS rivals.

i wonder how a zen 2 access ram at 320bit bus.
I want that for my MB as well. give me an option
fry178
no magic there, its GDDR in a "little bit" different setup than ram sticks on our mb.

10GB @ 560 GB/s, 6GB @ 336 GB/s
So the 16GB GDDR6 memory has 2 different bus speeds?
Someone care to explain this? It mentions 16GB GDDR6 on a 320bit bus but then the next line it says that the RAM has two different speeds?
EDIT:
Nevermind the DF video explained everything I needed to know.
I can't wait now for AMD to release their big boy chips on PC, I hope we get the same extra Ray Tracing chip too, which devs can offload to instead of running the code on the CU's.
With the CU's performance whilst using the added chip for RT you have a combined 24TFlops of compute power!!!! HOLY SHIT BALLS!!!

These Xbox names are retarded though.
