I know because I use it everyday and it doesn't impede me in any way what-so-ever.

Some of us rely on touch screen for work. I can either waste several minutes of my time with a touchpad or I can accomplish the same task in only a few seconds with a touch screen. I'll keep my touch screen. In fact, we just finished migrating from Win7 based laptops to Win8 based, touch screen laptops. Everyone is much happier with the new laptops because they're not losing money using the touchpad. Our guys are saving upwards of 2hrs per day due to the laptops being touch screen. Tasks that used to take upwards of 5 minutes, now take around 30 seconds. The faster they can get a job done, the more money they can make. The fact that they don't have to go into the start menu, just saves them more time.

Wait for passmark 9 and then try again, its obvious its not "optimized" for win8 platform. Just like few 3dmarks, ie Vantage generic texture/pixel fillrate runs worse in win8 then in Win7, 3dmark 2011 physics test also scores higher in win7 vs win8, since its made for win7. While 3dmark 2013 firestirke or any 3dmark 2013 physics test scores higher in win8+ vs win7.. Imo you can't "judge a book by its cover" like that :P
