Quick question, as I simply dont understand the review at the end... Am I good to go for Ultra at 1080p with Titan, or not?
Depends on your monitor resolution, but you got 6 GB graphics memory, so you should be fine upto 1920x1080 At Ultra Q + Ultra Textures. 2560x1440 should be pretty ok as well.

Well, guess I'll have to play this on medium-high, just as I did with Wolfenstein... can't wait to get my hands on a new GPU with ****loads of vram, but I won't wait on playing the game until that, as painful as it is. 🤓

Well,I guess I have to wait for Maxwell,GTX 880, to play all Ultra on a single card.Thx for the review Hilbert!
Yeah, kind of ridiculous a 700$ GPU can't run this game extremely well maxed out.

wth is that on the last page and not on dx 11 class graphics card performance pages did the cards suddenly not become DX11? when even name that page that if your not gona put the information about its performance there. Call that section what it is which is tests for 2k+ res

I played the naughty version to see how the game ran/played/looked. If they released demos I wouldn't touch that **** but these days I'm in no mood to spend 40+ quid on a game that could be a turd. Luckily the games really good and is packed full of content so I'm just pre loading the real one on steam as we speak.

if you read the article entierly, including the intro, you will understand why.. actually performance are a bit troublesome, hence why the article is a bit "strange" if you only jump to the graph.. Once the 14.6 driver is out and the game maybe patched ( day zero patch ? ). i can imagine the review will be updated.
that is what most people want to see, and when i see DX11 graphics class performance i think stats for the cards, NOT stats for 2k+ res on specific cards

This review image is bindblowing 🙂. Car shading looks even better, than gran turismo 3 @ps2
Pffttt, my PS2 emulator with 16x AA and 16AF @ 4K will blow your mind

i can see nowdays how game budgets goes to marketing instead of proper engineering. this game makes it clearer how flawed out gaming market is. seems like game companies what to do what hollywood does to movies, just over hyped junk.

Hi guys, My first post and terrific review. I am on notebook review forums under same name. 🙂 Been playing the game love it and have found similar findings to reviewer. I use high settings on my clevo i7 2820 16gb ram and nvidiacclevo 4GB 680m. Interestingly I noticed 2790MB of vram in use at ultra settings. Should it be using the full 4GB of video ram? Also have another notebook alienware m17xr2 with i7 840qm 8gb ram and 7970m and it runs very similar to the clevo notebook + - 2-3 fps at and settings. I aim for >30fps and its smooth and playable reached end of Act I. Anyway keep up the good work and love this site and notebook review forums. :)

...I just lost hope in the PC version of The Division...
The division we have seen has just been a tech demo for the games engine "Snowdrop" as a developer has confirmed. They have been quoted as saying there is no game at this point and a 2014 release is '"crazy" and that a 2015 release (fall/Q4) is more likely. So...taking a leap here, I think what we can say is the visuals are accurate, as we have seen in the videos them using the game engine Snowdrop on screen and interacting with it. We also know Snowdrop is brand new tech and surpasses Frostbite3, UE4 and Cryengine3. Those appear to have been developed prior to DX10 and have simply been upgraded over time, but Snowdrop looks like it's the first brand new next gen game engine. Visually I'll stick my neck out and say Snowdrop and The Division will make Watch Dogs and GTA look dated. As for the current gen games engines, yeah, I think they are leaving me wanting for more. Don't get me wrong here, I think the cross platform capability and usage of the top three engines are extremely good - but they look similar and very DX10. Snowdrop (and Cobra) look very DX12. Show me screenshot of the original Crysis versus Crysis3 (under similar game environments) and the difference is negligible, yet the release date of the original was 2007.

Techspot has a performance review up. Dont know how much stock we can put into it though since Hilbert says results have been inconsistent from one test run to another. But interesting nevertheless if the 2gb 770 can match the 3gb 280x @ 2560x1600 on ultra settings (with temporal SMAA). http://www.techspot.com/review/827-watch-dogs-benchmarks/

Agree. The snowdrop game looks great, so much so that i cant help but feel its a waste to use on nothing but another mmo or whatever it is. Though im not much of a mp gamer outside of split screen Halo these days.
Well, lets face facts here: the big selling point of these games is the single player campaign as GTA has proven. Without that there really is not enough of a market to plough $50 mill and another $150 mill into marketing to make it all happen. What we are going to see are variations on a theme surrounding the MP element, which although they can badge up as MMORPG or whatever MMO moniker they want, we all know it'll be a straight-forward MP with Tablet birds eye view functionality + smart phone app for stats. As for how it all works will depend on what the game goals are and how 'sharded' their game universe actually will be, but I think GTA has a pretty good model for online which goes back to GTA4 on PC. Destiny will not be any different, and I think they have got some really distorted viewpoints on how to monetise their game. There is a strong possibility they will overestimate their own target audience (console FPS) and price the game too highly. Baring in mind everyone on nex gen is already paying money for MP, the thought of paying additional funds leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. It might be something close to gaming nirvana, but if they price it wrong, it could bankrupt the company and leave those who paid up in a real nasty position. Content players can't access due to either lack of players, or inability by bungie to provide new content or basic patching. Most people want a campaign and, a surprising amount of people who buy a MP game do the campaign for 6 hours on easy and never play the MP game. An even more surprising amount of people play the MP for 1-3 hours a week and have never played the SP campaign. Personally, I can only confess to this on one title 'BFBC2' believe it or not. I played the SP campaign and never played the MP. This was post BF2 and I recall having a weak moment on steam and thought I'd buy the new BF game even though (to me) it wasn't the new BF game, but some weaker alternative. I played it though once and have not (to this day) played the MP game, even though it is heralded as being pretty darn good. I think at the time I was also into TF2 (2,000 hours) and just wanted to get back to Gold Rush PTC. When BF3 came out, I was all over. Just like BF4 and between them have capped my characters and (lvl100 and lvl120) have completed about 2,000 hours between them. Back on topic, although I think there is room for MP in a big bad way, finding the balance of a success and a failure in this area is really the difference between the 'rinse and repeat' mechanics versus the 'shared adventure' mechanic of MMO escapism. The Divison will no doubt make it so players can use bots to supplement their squads when out on patrol in the big city and mix up their play time between small 'common encounters' or 'grinding' elements in the city and the more appealing PVP mechanics. Adding into this, they should allow for multiple squads to group together for better grinding or shared PVP - but make it seamless. Destiny, oh dear - an FPS with those mechanics just ain't gonna work: no emotive connection between avatar and player. As an FPS, sure, but not much more.
