2014 was when i bought my Viewsonic 1080p 3D DLP projector, and it is still going today, and i have only used about 900 hours of the bulb which has about 4000 hours, so yeah the do build a decent quality projector....the price of these 4k projectors right now are still too high, but when they do come down to the £500 mark i can see me grabbing one, as 4k ST The motion picture DC on a 120in screen would be glorious.
