I only get warez versions of games in order to test them, so I can decide for myself whether a game is worth buying (reviews are subjective and some times even not to be trusted.) So this could actually backfire. People will then not buy it, since the warez version lacks a FOV slider, heh.

I did neither pirate the game or plan on buying it, but well... if they put an equal amount of time into properly making a game and releasing it bugfree with all options, a lot of paying customers wouldn't think about turning to piracy for crappy games they produce. Just my opinion though.

Patched in huh? Then it's not even Ubisoft doing the talking. It's high-quality-journalism polygon putting words into their mouth. They really should stick to writing about boobs instead.

I used to be a pirate like you, but then I took a Steam sale in the knee.
Now, seriously, if you think the game is expensive now, just wait for it to be on sale or until next year, when it'll be half the price. Easy as that!

Who cares, let them play with no FOV. It gives eye seizures playing like that.

There was a time when I was young and dumb and I pirated games like 8 years a go. I never enjoyed them never ever no matter how good the game was (must be guilt). And well now I do my research and if so I will buy from steamsales for 5€ or whatnot if the game isn't a MUST HAVE NOW! thing.
In ye olden days when there were loads of demos it was easy to test stuff out. But now nah not really. And it is hard to trust game journalists tbh so many different sources gives a bit more clearer picture. And pirating hurts the industry as whole and of course our beloved pc market suffers from it a lot, I wouldn't want to dev a game for pc in the least if I knew it will be pirated to hell and back.
But I am going to guess ubi is blaming legit customers here too.

Uplay has caused a lot of issues for tons of people. I am not sure why is Ubisoft still trying to push it. Friends on steam are regretting that they bought an Ubisodt game that requires Uplay. They wont be buying one anytime soon when i spoke with them.
Also does anyone know if Ubisoft will be incorporating uplay into older games that did not have the service? If so that will really mess up with some of the older titles that people have from Steam that they will want to play.
