Lol, has the 3060 ti ever been in stock ? xD

Read it yesterday, means i'm officially giving up on getting 3060 Ti and sit it out until the 4000 series end 2022 / early 2023. A Rog Strix 3060 Ti still costs €1011 over here, it's ****ing insane!

You'd be insane to get the strix version of a midrange gpu in the first place - huge waste of money, as you could get a "cheap" version of a 3070 for the same price.

They have been in stock for a while now, with varying brands/models. The prices are so high that even miners hesitate for a bit before buying them, which is probably why there remain models in stock.

Ye ok - i just remember at launch, there were cards to buy of every model in denmark, except for the 3060 ti 😀 But i see that you are right - cheapest 3060 ti is priced the same as the cheapest 3080 xD

If this is to increase production of higher-end models, I'm fine with this. We don't need yet another 1080p GPU (3060) and from what I recall, the 3070 is an overall better choice than the 3060Ti.

Yep, i do since my monitor (Samsung syncmaster B2430HD) only supports 1920X1080 (and i think if im not mistaken some survay said that 1080p is still the main res for gamers)

Some people still prefer 1080p 240hz.

although a late adopter myself of higher refresh rates and resolutions, i used to swear by 1080, but nowadays i game at 1440p, 144hz, i find this a sweet spot. I'v only recently adopted 4k uhd blu rays and tv's house wide. i feel that will be my next step for a gaming monitor. also 1440 seems to be the best for price / performance ratio, as when you hit 4k, you simply must maintain the best gear for the best experience.

In stock, but at an absurd 2x or 3x the MSRP, is not really what many of us would consider "available" for a luxury purchase, so they are still effectively not "in-stock" to the masses.

yup but 1440 240hz or even 270hz are available, and current gpus make light work of 1440p

1440 is a big step up in image quality over 1080 too I never liked 1080p frankly,it always looked poor to my eyes 1440 is nice, but especially on a 24 inch.on a 27 it's got more visible aliasing. I think 28" 4K 144 would be perfect for me.The ultimate display.

Officially it's because factories have been shut down temporarily due to new covid-19 outbreaks. 3070 would certainly be a better choice, but even if the imaginary MSRP meant anything, it would still also be more expensive. Regular folks need to draw the line somewhere, budget wise.

I think this is where I'm going to actually bite the bullet and say I'm glad consoles will be keeping PC gaming down as games won't move much past the need for my humble 2070s for years to come.

But i don't want a cheap version? Noise is a big factor for me. The Strix Model has the best cooler of all GPUs out there, and it's deshroud friendly.

1080p is probably going to make a comeback with if the prices remain as their are. Barely anyone is able to afford a GPU for a 4K resolution.
