4k30 in 2023? The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from 2013 captured at 4k30. That was 10 years ago! The Apple iPhone 8 from 2018 captured at 4k60 5 years ago. This is not acceptable!

Quantity of pixels ≠ quality of pixels. Plus, what are you going to do with that size of image? Store 30 mins of video?

It's a webcam... y'know, those things used pretty much just for video conferences, vloggers, and video game streamers. Nobody wants to see your acne in 4K, nobody wants to see spit flying out of your mouth in 60FPS, the additional frame rate implies the gloomy room you're in will only appear darker (or otherwise more grainy), and most people don't have the bandwidth to stream 4K without very lossy compression. Considering the AI is the selling point and targeting a niche market, I don't see what's unacceptable about its specs. Besides, was the Galaxy Note 3 really capturing in 4K, or was that just interpolation? For both phones, you have rolling shutter. 60FPS helps make rolling shutter less obvious, but I would much rather have 30FPS with global shutter. I would be surprised if these Sony webcams use a rolling shutter, since many webcams don't (even cheap ones) and it may interfere with the AI's ability to function. TL;DR - the specs are adequate.

I wonder what prices are. And are these indoor or outdoor cameras. Wouldn't mind one on outside to monitor around house. They remind me of the Big Brother house cameras.
