The cooling fan size is 120 mm, and fanless is supported up to an output of 200 W
WTH? Communication error? Simplification? First of all makes no sense to have the fan speed defined as a function of power. Like at all. Because a meaningful, significant change in temperature requires far bigger time window than the change in power. In other words - Electrical current changes far faster than the temperature, like microseconds vs seconds. Secondly why only 200W? My HX750i fan never ever turn on, and I can pull something like 400W. And I've never ever saw it above low 40-ish Celsius. I say 40-ish because I barely know it's there.
Product warranty is 3 years.

I never see the fan on my RM850 turn on. And that is pulling near 500w. And warranties are jokes these days. 1 year, 3 year. ETC. But they want us to pay a premium price for their gonna break crap.

It might be an error though. 3 years from well recognized manufacturer on platinum 1000 W PSU is travesty. and even 5 years is nothing to write home. https://www.silverstonetek.com/warranty.php?area=en

it didnt make any noise, plus i mean why not using the fan ? having the fan run do reduce the temp and hopefully it prolong those caps lifetime fans on other hands is really easy to replace / detect, in case need replacement
Because of the dust, that's why. In my experience dust is the PC's worst enemy and fans are the first thing that will go sht on regular basis; half because of the wear&tear half because of the dust. Case, psu, gpu, cpu fans - they all go to sht sooner or later. And the case gets full of dust requiring regular cleaning. None of that happening here ever since I set all my fans (except CPU) to turn on ONLY when gaming (and installed some sweet case filters). Everything clean as a whistle, with all the fans having same MAX RPM as when I set them up 3 years ago, instead of gradually clogging with dust and slowing down. I see that you created a new profile and turned your HX to a dust magnet 🙂 Because none of the three original fan profiles are set to engage, not even at 40C. Hey your choice - you prefer few Celsius less. Maybe your PSU will last longer.
