first card ever to have more versions than units available.

Wait a sec, I'd thought this was done before, or am I mistaken? I recall having two versions of the Nitro+, the regular Nitro+ (which I have) and the Nitro+ SE (only difference is, as far as I know, that the SE has RGB lit fans) and perhaps a slightly higher boost clock (though I'm kinda fuzzy about the last part. I kinda remember it having 1x USB-C port (1x HDM, 1x USB-C, 2x DP) instead of regular Nitro+ with just 1x HDMI, 3x DP.....even fuzzier on this part too.

I was looking at gaming laptops today. And then checked desktop GPU prices. For price of 6700 XT / RTX 3070, one can get laptop: Ryzen 5600H; 16GB RAM; RTX 3060; 120Hz screen; ... If I wanted to buy new graphics card today, I would be strangely satisfied by purchase of laptop with nVidia's GPU. Prices of some laptops with Ryzen 5800H & RTX 3070 are very reasonable in current situation too. I even saw variant with GPU power limit increased to 140W.
dont' wanna say I wanna buy one,but I'm not saying no to a gaming laptop either so please recommend one if you find an interesting proposition with 3070 https://www.x-kom.pl/p/620960-notebook-laptop-156-gigabyte-aorus-15p-i7-10870h-32gb-512-win10-rtx3070p.html?utm_source=ceneo&utm_medium=comparison&utm_campaign=ceneo_click this one ?

I suppose if they make a new Nitro+ it can have the new 6900XT pricing of ~2000 Euro or thereabout (Which is ridiculous but apparently sells.) though while likely not too plentiful I was expecting it to also have the XTXH Navi21 chips even if the stock settings are lower than the Toxic variant and it's water cooling solution. (Covering a variant with a air cooler solution as well.) Otherwise is this is the 6900XT Nitro+ SE again with a few very slight tweaks and a not so slight price adjustment or that's what I expect we'll see whenever these get stocked. (Formula OC and Red Devil Ultimate have been available for a few days now here, looks like the pricing finally hit the level where the cards will no longer sell.)

Its strange seeing laptops actually being a good deals thats how bad the market situation is right now but in reality who wants a laptop to game on? We also all know how nvidia mobile and desktop gpus are not the same card.

There will be two versions of the new Special Edition card with different output configurations: Version A: 1 x HDMI and 3 DisplayPorts Version B: 1 x HDMI, 2 x DisplayPorts and 1 x USB-C

Me, personally I like: https://www.alza.cz/lenovo-legion-5-pro-16ach6h?dq=6317901 (No Windows is benefit for me. Very good screen with 500nits HDR400. 140W for GPU. I am used to use lenovo devices. But one should be aware of their policies before getting their device.) What I hate to see is: https://www.czc.cz/asus-tuf-gaming-a15-fa506-cerna/309655/produkt (Same price, much worse screen & no Adaptive-sync, GPU starved to 90W instead of standard 130W. Even 130W RTX 3060 beats it at much lower price.) From quick check, variants with 32GB of RAM are not exactly worth price bump unless owner knows that memory will be really needed. (Running Unreal Engine editor, VMs, or similar things.) P/N for 16GB version: 82JQ008FCK P/N for 32GB version: 82JQ002JCK Actually, some of RTX 2000 series were same. Yet mobile RTX 3070 is desktop version cut down by mere 13%. Desktop has Base/Boost clock: 1500/1725MHz (220W) Laptop shows: GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile 115W = 1110-1560 MHz GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile 120W = 1170-1590 MHz GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile 125W = 1215-1620 MHz So my guess for 140W would be: 1325/1725MHz and that it will be on average only 15~20% weaker than desktop RTX 3070. 7000pln,nice ! but I want a desktop card. I'll tell you, frankly,if 6900xt was available at msrp then 1000eur would suddenly seem like a steal.

These delightful cards will be available sometime in fiscal 2023, if all goes as it has for the past six months. Oh, joy.

I'd snagged my card at about 1350USD back on 2nd January, it was the most I'd paid for a card, and I was pretty sure I was being scalped (bought it BNIB from another guy in a local forum, I paid exactly the price he'd paid - was given a receipt as proof) While 1350USD wasn't quite MSRP, I'd figured it should be around 1100-1150USD being a not reference AIB version. To me, I was overpaying by 200-250USD and I was sure I was gonna regret it. Now, seeing the mind bending prices of new and even previous gen cards, I'm glad I'd taken that leap of faith, really loving the card! @Hilbert Hagedoorn Thanks for that info, though I'm still pretty sure I'd seen a card or two with 1x HDMI + 2x DP + 1x USB-C a few months back. I remember because I was thinking why had the Palit RTX 2080 Ti I'd gotten back at its launch had a USB-C port (for VR I guess) and why the newer RX 6900 XT didn't have it...except for a couple of RX 6000 series cards (pretty sure one of 'em was the Nitro+ RX 6800 XT/6900 XT SE). Anyway, it's moot to me as I do use any VR headsets....

Notice Display output configurations.
I'm not sure miners care all that much about display outputs. Nice looking card though.

Btw. My 6900XT is Nitro+ and I do undervolt and limit clock to actual 2200MHz. It is nice that they enabled higher clock, but that power draw likely is not pretty
It doesn't really cover overclocking or higher power draws but there is a chart on power consumption and comparing against RDNA1 from a post I found yesterday. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/n2hu2b/6800xt_vs_5700xt_wattfps_in_4k_superposition/ https://i.redd.it/g8ik9uj3biw61.png That's the 6800XT though, looking at the TechPowerUp 6900XT bios database even if power draw and voltage remains somewhat capped the amperage and SOC values can differ a bit but it looks like you can hit a sweet spot and undervolting and limiting power draw can still be effective. (Though via More Power Tool and less via Wattman and not skewing or throttling the entire boost curve.)
