Samsung 830 is awesome SSD already, if they can improve it even further, well that's awesome.

I hope they'll provide more reliable power consumption data this time.

Just read the first reviews, It's really awesome drive and uses even less power than before. I think it's pretty safe to say that is the best SATA SSD on market.

my 830 128 is rather nice step from HDD to bad shortly after I bought it for 189$ they became about 100$ or less wasnt worth the 189$ i bought it for but for 100$ it is more worth imo, for same price I payed for the 128gb I can get 256gb now. Though if price is right I might buy another one 840/830 And have 1 SSD for OS 1 for Games and 1 500gb HDD for Storage and mp3 and what not.

One Samsung 840 128GB and one 512GB would be more than enough for me and the perfect setup ( without mechanical HDD ). Otherwise, one 64GB ( OS/Drivers/Browser ) and one 256GB ( games ) I could settle. In that case, I'd need my WD Black for Movies/Music and other crap. I'll seriously think about. I still have my old X-25M 80GB and works perfectly. Now I'd easily go with Samsung only -none else. The only thing I mostly care is the responsiveness and less, the power consumption and of course the fact that all SDDs are silent.
