This is a big deal for the Linux community, as this would allow for more ARM-based laptops or tablets to be more easily used. The Mali drivers are barely usable, newer Snapdragon platforms are too difficult to get into, the Tegras are too power-hungry and expensive, Broadcom's stuff is too weak, newer Vivante platforms are too scarce, and everything else is too old or obscure to get any attention.

other ARMS based alternatives were presented on a MediaTek Kompanio 1200 Arm processor, with appropriate ARMS and Linux SDK kits made available. This is definitely good news since graphics advancements on ARMS based laptops/tablets have long been needed as an alternative to the Mali environment.

it's funny how AMD managed to get RDNA2 on so many things, from GPUs for desktops and laptops, two major consoles and even some smaller consoles, workstations, and even smartphones.
But then it's almost impossible to find one to buy. And even if you find one, it's impossible to buy one at MSRP.

Based on financials you can tell price/unit is going to be the overwhelming factor on console/smartphone side. It's a catch22 scenario as the best desired outcome (shareholders) would be to price all platforms in a similar fashion.
Hopefully the supply-side issues will reside with the move to 5nm/6nm, though Raja recently stated they will be influx for everyone over the next few quarters.

"play time is over" , "gaming will get serious"
No one takes mobile gaming seriously, and no one takes Crapsung seriously in gaming.
Silly buzz words to sound cool.
Undying
Raytracing for mobile lol i might believe that when we get a decent desktop raytracing first.
