while it's less expensive than the La Cie at $1,400 anyone with a smattering of expertise can buy an enclosure (usb 3.1 or Thunderbolt) dual M.2's and do a RAID for far less money. it may not have a sexy design, but it would work just as well. i'm doing that with two ADATA (xpg) m.2's right now
