So just to be clear you can watch behind the scenes 8k footage of a fantasy green screen show filmed in 4k 🙂 . I will be sure to go buy me an 8k Samsung TV now 🙂.

... and the script might still be crap, as many expect. 8K can't change that, if true.

My country standard digital air TV is still 1080p, most people buying cheap TVs still get 720p panels because f*ck me doing 32'' 1080p TVs, right?
8K...bah.

It doesn't matter, Amazon is only the investor and publisher for the series. There are other people who direct and produce the series. If they do a good job, then you may get a watchable movie.
Low expectations means that there is room for improvement. The thing about the overhype is just that in most cases companies won't be able to deliver, because they already advertise it with 10/10 or sometimes even higher. So everyone expects to get a 10/10 but by now everyone should know that this very rarely happens.
I am not saying that the LotR series will be good or bad. I just think people are overreacting about it.
But considering the fact that it is already being criticised so hard even before it is released, there is nothing really much to lose, is there? Either they're right and it'll turn out bad, or they'll be wrong and it will be watchable, either way, you won't lose anything, you may only win a watchable series if it turns out good. That's all I wanted to say really.

way way to woke i wont be watching this garbage.
a dwarf with melanin enough is enough.
and where is her beard.
Melanin is a substance in your body that produces hair, eye and skin pigmentation. The more melanin you produce, the darker your eyes, hair and skin will be. The amount of melanin in your body depends on a few different factors, including genetics and how much sun exposure your ancestral population had

CSI: Lord of the Rings?
No thanks. I have next to zero interest in watching a bunch of people dressed up for a cos play event that never took place, knocking on doors and asking other cos players where the next door is to knock on...
CSI ruined writing for television forever.

TV in this country is 1080i and some times we get 4Ki but 4Ki is probably only the same quality as Blu Ray 1080p.
Our TV is 1080p and its one of those old ones that does 3D think back like when AVITAR came out at the cinema. Anyway I was watching Rango last night on Blu Ray with 3D enabled. Amazing. What happened to 3D?
The dialect in that film is amazing, just love that southern fried talk.

To me it does cause compression is worse then it being lower res too me.
PC is only place what you looking at at 1080p or 4k look like it should, so long as it NOT movie/show pre enoceded out side of Bluray.
Everything else horrid amount compression that make res look alot lower then actual is, the less the compression the more true it is to actual res being used. Youtube 1080p isnt even close to 1080p quality let alone there 4k which all made worse by the compression.
And all streaming services are compression the streams,
btw i have 20/20 with glasses on so my glasses arnt issue, and seeing close enough to the screen without my glass to see it, it still look the same cause horrid ammount of compression you have 1080p or even 4k feed that look like shit almost every thing uses, it just most stream do us such extreme compression like youtube or cable/satellite tv
