That would be pretty interesting if they decide to skip 3000, but I guess it kinda makes sense if they do. Unlike AM4, they don't have any "throw-away" CPUs to lend to people to upgrade the BIOS. Though, it would be kinda funny if they lent over a 1900X so people could do an upgrade.
I'm sure people are going to expect PCIe 4.0 too, which just isn't going to happen on those boards. PCIe 4.0 made the X570 boards very expensive, so I can't imagine how much more that cost would multiply on a X599 board, which has so many more slots.
Personally, I find it a little odd that they'd even make a TR 4000 series. AM4 already has 16 cores. Assuming they make a fresh new AM5 socket for DDR5, wouldn't it make more sense to just squeeze in some more pins to replace TR entirely?

Jokes aside, those CPUs are breaking the norm. Never before a normal user had so much computing power in a relative affordable platform.
