EA has butchered every franchise I personally loved, so for me, it can't get any worse. I hope they Buy them and stop EA's disgusting practices.

lets not forget what microsoft did to ensemble studios, rareware, ect
half expecting Origin Being folded into the microsoft store and every game from ea becoming UWP, to be a potential consequence.

That doesn't seem to be a problem, article mentions MS having 130 billion to spend and that EA is valued at 35 billion so that wouldn't be a problem.
Article also mentions them looking into Valve and the PUBG developers though they already have a limited exclusivity deal with the PUBG devs and they probably can't outbid Tencent of China if they get interested cause they're, big. 😀

And what makes you so certain that you are correct on this? As far as we know it's a speculation. And stating assurance on a speculation is funny. For a start, we need to see it At very least happen.

"You don't buy EA and be nice." Clearly, they buy them to acquire their intellectual property and distribution channels. How many studios has EA closed? How many Good titles they have in their portfolio? Exactly.
Microsoft is a SIGNIFICANTLY richer company compared to EA, it doesn't need to get down to levels of EA to shove loot boxes up yours on every corner. Instead they can get their hands on potential ressurection of some titles / studios. This as a result can lead to creation of new games in old franchises that EA has closed. Point about Xbox in the news was very relevant, they need unique titles and EA has them. That is a Great opportunity to make content for Xbox/ Windows.

The first thing they wan't is to earn back that money and then make a profit on the same company! How the heck can that be good for us gamer's??
Big boy's capitalism is never a good thing for customers. (not saying i don't believe in capitalism, but capitalism without regulation is never good for people at the bottom).
And i love the frostbite engine, best fps engine.

Could be bad news for valve if MS does buy EA, they could hamper valve by using windows to break steam from working properly.

I honestly dont care. today's EA games are far from good, and they are not willing to continue / remake the older games which people love. I cant see Microsoft changing that if they decide to take them over.
EA have a huge list with plenty of games that could be potentially a hit, but lack of proper management scraps this idea.

This would make many EA titles Xbox exclusive, because Microsoft wants to fight back against those PS4 exclusives. I like many EA games, but they destroyed Ultima and Dead Space which I happened to like very much. I don't hate EA and I wish they would exist as a standalone company, but at the same time I'd like to see an end to their killing spree of franchises. Still, Dead Space 1 wouldn't even exist if EA would not have funded it.

Heh if this were to happen this could end any future Madden Titles on other consoles than Xbox. So MS is basically double dipping here they will be making money off of the NFL license and they have the Surface deal with them as well.
Bill Gates has not been involved with MS in years.
