Another reason why I wait at least a month or two before even looking at a game.

Vote with your wallet, that hurts these greedy **** companies the most. And thank goodness for steam refund now! It made them pull it from there immediately after soo many gave it negative reviews and asked for refund. This is the only way this should be handled period. Buy a game just like any other product and if unsatisfactory return for refund or something else. In this case REFUND! So happy this is starting to take place and happening.

Fixes like that you see in Pre-beta stages of games. *Shame*..*Ding-Ding*..*Shame*..*Ding-Ding*

I'll be waiting until the Steam Christmas sale to pick this up, IF it's working properly by then that is. Just picked up a copy of GTA V so that should keep me busy for a while

In any other industry, this is a class action lawsuit. Sucks for Rock Steady but Shame on WB. They can release it great on consoles but thats a big F-U to all the PC consumers who were suckered into buying this. Thank Gabe for refunds.

You mean thank EA/Origin. They did it first and Valve was forced to months after by people complaining.

well if you read the EULA to STEAM and other delivery systems, you dont actually OWN the game, you 'license' it, so really, you get to watch/control a series of lights/pixels/graphics on the screen, but it never ACTUALLY belongs to you in the least. Some EULA's will even go as far to say they can scan your computer (didnt EA have this worked into their EULA for a period?) for whatever. So really, the money you give them, you have no ownership say in any of it. It's a sort of 'lease', for a lack of better terms for it. When you click agree, you really are potentially agreeing to a corporation raiding your computer in software and potentially hardware. All from clicking 'I agree'.
Welcome to any and all software that isn't open-source. It doesn't matter if it's a retail copy, steam, or other distribution system... all software (except open-source) is licensed. Not owned.

I think you mean thank the EU courts that ruled that digital products were eligible for refunds a while back prompting all these companies (and apple) to do this.

I believe pre steam refunds you were stuck with a bad game (COD ghosts) but now that we can get a refund it is safe to pre order and if its rubbish or does not work we can get a refund. Game developers will need to stop being lazy with there ports. I predict there will be delays before the PC release of games to ensure the Batman effect does not happen again.

+1. I feel more confident about pre-purchasing (from steam) now. Say if Black Ops 3 PC sucks, refund it!

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/03/sorry-europe-you-still-cant-get-refunds-on-your-steam-game-purchases/ Not to mention that EA's Origin has allowed refunds since it's inception in June 2011, while the EU ruling didn't go into effect until October the same year.
Huh, well whilst I hate to thank EA for anything I guess I must thank them for adding some competition to the market so now Valves Refund policy is better. However, origins good refund system (the one that is automatic and works) only applies to EA published games, not all games like steam. http://help.ea.com/en/article/returns-and-cancellations/ The "great game guarantee" was only introduced in 2013. If they had a system any better than steam since 2011 then all those problems with sim city a while back couldn't have happened, so I can only conclude they used a ****ty system like steam up until 2013. (Steam has always had a refund policy, its just been unbelievably **** and anti consumer)

I have a question... why the **** do they frame lock these games to begin with? Every excuse I've ever heard of why something might be locked at 30 ended up being total and utter BS. Such as breaking animations or other nonsense. 30fps is cringe worthy. For anyone who was looking forward to this game, don't. I played a good amount of it on the PS4 and it was incredibly boring. The only thing about it that was interesting is simply playing as Batman, grappling-hooking around the city and diving off of buildings. The actual game itself is boring, monotonous, poorly designed in general, and monotone as hell. Monotone to the point of reminding me of the generic grey blob FPS games genre; replace Batman with a character that people don't have an attachment to from other things and no one would play this game.

100% unlikely valve's new refund policy has anything to do with EA or Origin, to think otherwise is foolish
