Not better than RTX2080ti at everything, but, looks good.

Since no mention of resolution, I presume @ 1440p. TSE gives a hint of 4k at least.

Thanks Nvidia but i'll wait for proper benchmarks.

If that's the performance, then the 450ish ā¬ price that the cheapest ones here are at is a pretty fine deal. I'd still like to see cheaper of course, and the various solutions offered by board partners seem to explode in price to way above 500ā¬.

Looks like next years 3070 super will be the one to get.

other article score a good margin below my darling 2080ti. Plus I bought my card over 2 years ago (sept 2018) for equiv. of $850USD in Aus.. was bit under $1,200AUD and has a power limit of 312w.. since raised to 338w.
After doing benchmarks with this humble Asus Dual fan card with both the 312w & 338w Power limit - the benchmarks shown today show the 3070 getting only 8324 in Port Royal.. Where Avg for a 2080 Ti without special cooling is closer to 9600 just with a i7-10700k and not 8100 as shown.. As for the rest of the scores mine beats it comfortably. Including the mighty RTX DLSS benchmark the new series are supposed to own (Average of all 2080 Ti's in Port Royal with my CPU)
I was sceptical after the YouTube video of Doom Eternal was up and those FPS. As I had just beat the game at max settings in 4k with HDR (they didn't use it.. vram?) and barely recalled it dipping under 100fps.. so ran the scene with the boss at the beginning and it was 20-30 fps faster than the worst 2080ti in history, and within 1-15fps of the 3080 the entire time :/
Leather Jacket man and Nvidia forcing independent reviews late, the RRP is non-existent, build quality is questionable and just by talking crap in the kitchen including mentioning the 3070 is better than the 2080ti .. Boom the next day Nvidia's stock rose over the 40 Billion to buy ARM.
Fact is a 2080Ti with a power limit equal to the 3080 is generally within 1-17% of all benchmarks the rtx 3080 has shown.
I sure hope AMD/ATI do bring it with their cards.. and drivers! š... hope they have more than 1 dude doing drivers.
I dunno if he is butt hurt, but the scores shown today from theSilva
If this is any true the 3070 is the 3000 series GPU to get. Still 2x what I'd pay for a GPU so I'll have to wait for small Navi next year.

There are also rumors of a card in between 3070 and 3080 based on GA102.
7424 Cude Cores
10GB gddr6x
320bit bus
The rest of the specs are unknown.

kieron fleming: Nice trolling kid, but he is right, totally useless benchmarks, second hand 2080Ti with more VRAM is win win

Ah, so RTX 3080 is indeed about 30% faster than the RTX 3070 then - all has been revealed! That was from comparing Timespy Graphic Scores from guru3d 3080 Founders Edition review. Was hoping RTX 3080 would be faster than that 30% difference, which is why I chose the 3080, but to have it confirmed as 30% faster I'm ok with that. I got a pre-order in for a TUF 3080.

Those who paid $1250 plus for a 2080ti are trying to convince themselves they were not robbed by Nvidia when this 400 to 500 card is outperforming the 2080ti

I might try for one (ha) if the FE is Ā£450, more for something to play around with, a side dish as it were, until the main course becomes available.

No such thing as a leak.
Its all intentional

@SoppingClam
lol, i guess i have the even better card then, as my LC 2080S for 800$ can beat stock ti's.
anyone recommending a 2080ti is completely ignoring price.
makes no sense why i would i pay almost double (vs 3070) for 0-10% better performance.
outside the fact that the vram difference is irrelevant for +80% of the gaming market,
and most of time will only matter for small amount of games running 4K (for fps).

Looking good, however i'd like to see a bios unlocked 2080ti vs bios unlocked 3070 for true picture.
Anyone considering one of these i can say that it'll do in most if not all games at 1440p, just gotta wait for CP2077 for real test, if that's your thing.:)
But sure 2080ti beater you can't knock.
*Damn that 8gb vram though. š”

@ITGuru
can you run your 2080ti on a 550w psu like the 3070? doubt it.
lots of ppl will be better off buying something new, as when they will sell that its one gen newer and probably do better on return money..
@DannyD
lol, the silicon lottery will affect perf much more than unlocking a bios, as Nv limits are still there for certain stuff.

8800 GTS for $400 was released in 2006, which would be $516 today. Therefore, your $420 spent on the 1070 ti was below what you said you'd spend on a GPU.
As well, the 8800 GTS was effectively the 1070 of the 10 series
8800 GTS = 1070
8800 GT/GTS 112/GTS G92 = 1070 ti
8800 GTX = 1080
8800 Ultra = 1080 ti/Titan
There was no 8700, and 8600 series by far was the 1060 of the 10 series
So seems you are complaining on spending less, for the same amount.
And if you can't figure out that inflation does matter, and purely basing purchasing prices on a "number" rather then its value and purchasing power, can't help you there if you don't understand how that all works.
