I've considered the 2TB version of this drive for my home server, which just runs on gigabit ethernet so I don't have much of a reason to pay for something especially fast. But I wasn't expecting that even gigabit ethernet could outperform this in some cases.

For the price and size, it's not a bargain πŸ™ some chinese rebranded SSD (mean quality over the price as for EU's brand) do better for less money. a bit disapointed by this one, Team used to do better.

Hey, you gave this same 1TB drive away for Christmas! ...(I think?)

I think that SSD's & NVMe's have a ways to go yet before matching the capacities available in head & platter drives...;) The economics have a ways to go yet, imo. I'm still surprised we haven't seen SATA 4, yet. But considering how far away Sata 3 platter drives are from maxing out Sata 3, I guess that's no surprise.

Till those prices drop alot more and there tempetures are nothing ( gpu temps and gpu prices) I rather have Sata SSD and even then 1 TB for them is still to expensive 2 years ago when got my 1tb 860evo it was $110 give or take and it still roughly that price, less you go to lower end brand and even then there still to expensive imo. Where is this SSD that roughly same price of HDD per tb we been hearing about years?. NVMe drive are still like 200$ a 1TB and 400$ for 2TB and only get higher from there. I only switch out of to 1TB 860evo cause the 500GB barrucuda I was using pretty died after 10+ years of use. so going from 500gb to 1b was a big deal, the 100+ the drive was the issue and to this day I still ask my self why i payed that much for storage. Dont get me wrong I like the idea of No cables and faster storage, but not at those price, FFS If i want to put 2tb in a ps5 to match storage I have my on PS4 it could cost 4/5th price of that actual system just for the storage. something is wrong there. Sata SSD are just "slightly" better Prices on this SATA SSD i seem odd, 1tb seem low end price wise for 1tb but 256/512gb seem on the high end for prices, performance seem on the shallow end of pool too

Lately I had 2 Teamgroup GX2 Sata SSDs failing after light usage. Bought loads of Adata, Kingston, Samsung without issue. I'm skipping them from now on.

Both failed indeed. Still waiting for the RMA answer for the second one after 3 days ... And i'm doing this for free for my friends and family...
