Okay the new NV driver severely impacts performance. I will update the result sets.

EDIT: Seems this was updated and as such this post is no longer important. 🙂 (Apparently the new Nvidia driver is causing some performance issues but the game itself might have some problems too.)

LOL RX470 faster than a GTX 1070 now thats pretty fricking funny! http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=28327
Yeah it's crazy, the results are all over the place. I decided to leave the content as-is but did update the GeForce results towards today's 378.49 driver, and in a week or so once we have seen some game patches, driver updates etc we'll re-do the test results. Overall though on most graphics cards the game is very enjoyable, looks good (mostly) and is very playable.

I wonder what doofus decided FXAA and TAA only was a good idea? I wish FXAA would go away already :S.

The game looks like it should run locked at 60 or something, or even less. Do we know what engine it uses?

It baffles me how good Hawaii is performing. That 390X is a beast.

Something's happening, a bug or something. The game has nVIDIA features so it should perform at least a bit better on NV HW.

I have other games running over 100 fps , when will they release a hotfix driver for those games to lower performance? I can't stand high frames 🙁

Hilbert, turn off shadow cache and do a benchmark with and without it. You will see the difference. Actually, you have done it with on so only off version has to be done 😀

Did someone saw this? A guy at Nvidia forums posted about a huge performance drop at RE7 with this new driver comparing with the latest one, is it real? Someone tested? Old Guru3D benchmarks using 376.33: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/185647255028629505/273481000510554112/unknown.png New Guru3D benchmarks using 378.49: http://i.imgur.com/sl0TOfB.png
New "game ready" driver broke RE7 performance.

Driver 376.60 give me much better performance i think. Or have the game better graphics with 378.49?

Looks like a mess for benchmarking. Too unstable to draw any meaningful conclusions.

How can a game ready driver broke the performance? HH said performance is all over the place and it could differ from benchmark to benchmark.
