lol, did you guys know there's a 4060 strix for $400 ? I wonder how many fanboys asus must have to deem this profitable enough to make.

People keep going on about prices... Yes they are extortionate and unjustified to us... However, the vast majority of customers, even if they do build their own systems or at least upgrade their GPU, never bother to do any research or read websites and reviews like these, so they have no idea what they are buying. They simply look at the latest generation of GPUs available and buy the best they can afford and move on. It's really that simple.

This should be a 4050 in name and in price. The die size is almost 1/2 the 3060.

You think?... The entire generation all the way up to the 4080 has been named up and priced up up. Starting with 4080 it has the specs of a "70" card, but priced like the 2080 Ti from previous gen, which was, at the time, considered outrageous, vs the $700 1080 Ti. Like, holy f**k, gamers got burned, yet they still buy this cr4p.

4080 beats 3080Ti by +30% at 4K, no xx70 card ever did that to prev gen xx80Ti. Even 1080 didn't beat 980Ti by that much at any resolution, let alone compared to 1070. It's just super expensive, but it's not a xx70.

10nm vs 5nm. smaller size but more expensive node.

Actually, it is a x70 that beats 80Ti by +30%...

... and that's exactly why it can do that. Moving back to TSMC is the equivalent of jumping two nodes at once. (And part of the reason why 4000 series are so damn expensive, but even the node price increase does not justify the massive markup that happens this generation. Most of it is just raw greed)

Bang for buck page shows the per watt graph.

and yet it still goes against a 7900xtx, that is the whole problem. nvidia is allowed to rob us blind cause amd fell flat on their face, despite using mcm.

At least you can buy AMD at discounts, since you wouldnt buy nvidia anyway.

The most important on product photos is if cooler is 2 slot, or 2.5 slots etc.. and used angles sucks for it..

Nah, totally skipping this gen from either. We'll see what happens after another year or two of recession... (which is accelerating, btw)

That is exactly what nvidia is betting on, those people thinking they getting xx60 tier pefromance when in reality it xx50 peformance. and price higher then should be and sadly it works

Well we can afford to skip it, 6800/XT will be good for +2 years

The Bang for Buck pages is showing the Performance per watt, small error but an unfortunate one as i was curious about the bang for buck.

this is the same thing car dealers have been doing since the old days, take a really cheap and crappy car, put (or remove) two plastic trims here and there, change the tail lights color and POW! you can charge 25% more to customers for "exclusivity"
