Yes, you can get away with that if the PSU has more Amperage available on that 12V rail. This PSU offers a single rail 12v at 71 Amps. The energy distribution is not an issue and connectors can easily manage it. If you have a PSU with four separated 12V rails each rated say 15A, then it could be bothersome. It's why I have been evangelizing single-rail 12V PSUs for a long time now.

Absolutely stunning GPU 😳

And the supreme Suprim scores lower than their own Gaming X Trio (in the GPU shoot-out). The Suprim should have been a higher tier, right?

I'm not sure if I agree with a Top Pick recommendation as the price performance is pretty awful. If these start going above MSRP then we're repaidly moving into the realms of $2k cards!
Maybe there need to be some new Guru3D rewards like 'Nice card shame about the price'.

Great card, i really love the silent mode! But the premium asked over a normal 3080 is simply stupid...
Great review!

Everyday another card introduction. More to confuse me. I hope the supply or self-imposed shortage will last well into 2021. This will give many plenty of time in getting their RTX 2080ti or 1080ti's sold at perhaps a decent price? That is of course before the (pricing) bottom falls out for all previous 10/20 series cards in general. Once the supply issues are solved and with especially the gamers then snapping up readily available 'base 3080's' at around USD$500, I wonder what used 2080ti's will drop down to? For a man like me working at Walmart driving a forklift on the third shift probably quite affordable. Of course I still do not get where the people get all that money from to buy luxury hardware items like this? Come and see me sometime at Walmart where reality hits the pavement day in and day out! But we just gotten in a CD stack of "De Toppers" 2013 concert with Engelbert Humperdink, naturally on sale and I am loving it.

Got to say i don't appreciate MSI missleading their customers with their initial batch of Gaming X trio featuring 3x8 pins power input and barely drawing 390W given BIOS restrictions.
The 3090 Gaming X Trio might not handle 490-500W and extreme overclocks as well as the Suprim does, but it can clearly draw 460W while remaining under 70°C in a closed case.
Been playing RDR2 for 40Hours+ just like that.
The Gaming X trio deserved higher power limit on BIOS. /rant
