10400F 11400F 5600X awesome choices and sadly 5600x costs 2X of 10400F and 10400K here. 360 water cooling needed for other ones.

I saw techpowerup take on this and it preformed better then 11900K because i9 boosted too high too soon and used up all TDP reserves, then it throttled more..
If I manage gear1 3600mhz and then undervolt cpu a little it would run faster then CometLake, nexus yt gear1 vs gear2 test. But I won't buy this yet, dont see the need.. need stronger gpu first 😀

Not bad at all, a little cheaper than the 5800x and at least 10C cooler at full load (according to HH's results) regardless of the higher power consumption.
The lack of PCIe Gen 4.0 lanes is a no go for those who go with the fastest M.2's though.
Got to agree with most here to go with the 5800x/5600x or the 11400F instead if on a tight budget.
You can cool the 5800x on air, just need one of the few good air coolers that manages it.

and you're better off with a freezer34 esports, 200w tdp.

dude wraith prism is worse than most 20-30 eur coolers and it sounds like a jet engine

just get a 10700kf and freezer 34es , save 100-150 eur and enjoy the same gaming performance as 11th gen/r5000
it's a non issue if you know how sequential transfer numbers differ from actual every day peformance.
my plextor m9pe,a 2018 drive, running on z97 w. pci-e 2.0,had the same random r/w performance and app loading times as those new pci-e 4.0 drives.
sn850/980pro are the first drives since nvme became a thing that really made your experience better, with a new controller.otherwise you don't need 4.0
can,but shouldn't.
and it'll boost lower.
if you're buying a 450eur cpu because of a box cooler you are either stupid or steve from hub.
there's 30eur difference between 11700kf and 5800x

Where did Intel get this 19% IPC increase from? Most i have seen is 13.6 typically 12% but in real applications it's more of nill or in regression, a terrible product TBH.

The i9 9900K sure is aging well. Not even WORTH upgrading to latest gen if you're on a 9900K..

Turn off the power limiter in the bios and you're good to go.

Here you can get:
11700K: $359
10700K: $269
11900K: $519
10850K: $329
And even cheaper if bundled with a motherboard @ microcenter. Now if they can only get some video cards in stock long enough for me to buy one....
