But that`s only for the first boot, right? Or the boot time continues to be too long every time?
First boot takes a minute or something like that, subsequent boot after a clean shutdown take about 30s for the screen to show anything, TPU and Guru3D are saying the same thing.

30 seconds is a lot of time for modern system equipped with an SSD. AMD needs to fix this issue, quickly.

7600x is ddr5 too you know, and it tops around 6000 while rkl-s can take +7000
Yeah but you are such a huge advocate of staying with ddr4 when in reality 13600k will perform 15% higher with ddr5 and cost of the platform is the same or higher than am4.

that is a bold claim, alder lake was within a few percent. anything to back it up ?

how if cpus are same or cheaper and boards are cheaper.

lol, I think my celeron 400mhz with 6gb barraccuda booted about the same into w98. to desktop I mean. is this desktop time ?

wtf is this nice, not even specifying what memory they're using. show me a gaming test. where latency mattered most, adl-s on ddr4 could outperfom ddr5 https://www.purepc.pl/test-procesorow-intel-core-i5-13600k-vs-amd-ryzen-5-7600x-wiecej-rdzeni-i-swietna-wydajnosc-porownanie-w-grach-i-programach?page=0,20 geekbench showed the same results for adl-s ddr4 vs ddr5, but in reality the difference in games was almost unnoticeable.

HU always test ddr4 vs ddr5 in their reviews and as you can see here in cpu/memory bandwidth bound game like spiderman there is a 9% difference. 13700k paired with ddr4 is slower than even 7600x. https://abload.de/img/untitledvqfcd.png

If i was to build an Intel system, i would use DDR5 memory because the price is not that higher compared to DDR4.

It is if you already have decent ddr4 ram.

proving my point worst case scenario looks like 8% slower than ddr5 in one, most cpu demanding game atm, comparing 6400 ddr5 vs 3600 ddr4, that's probably more than double the price. where is that 15% overall you claimed ? ddr4 4000 c15 would be even less of a difference in the case of spierman, overall it would be almost the same.makes no sense for owners of good ddr4 to buy ddr5 for s.1700, unless you're chasing those few percent in overall performance and you have a 4090 for 1080p lol and why are hub testing max memory settings for amd (6000 in sync mode) but limit 12/13 gen to 6400 when they can take +7000 easily.

I cut the price in half going for 13700k instead of 13900k, z690 mb (gigabyte gaming x ddr4 200£ instead of z790 400£) and reusing my 32gb ddr4. Upgrading from 8700k cost me under 700£ instead of 1100£+

i look foward to see the reviews for 65 TDP variants

question is there actual 13600 65tdp? or is only 13400 65tdp? those 65TDP cpu look really nice compared to the 6700k i have even if they will use up to 190 tdp with pl2? under full load?

Just built a system with a 13600k for my dad. It is a very nice CPU. It destroys my 9900k (5ghz) in Cinebench R20, 80% faster while using 65W less juice (125W vs 190W).

when do those release. that cpu should reduce cost of build vs 13600k would make easier to add a new psu in build to go with ddr5/cpu/mb

just going for 5800X3D insted, no need to upgrade MB or Ram at this point 🙂
Just got it. Price droped alot. It really makes sense now.
