You tried ? And who buys a 4060 for 3440x1440 when even 6700xt is barely enough for 2560x1440 these days

Ordered one for the streaming pc, cheapest MSI version 320euros. There's just no going back to h.264 now that youtube supports av1.

Well efficiency always matter here as I live in tropical country (reason why I always undervolt), so yeah when friends ask me to build some mini PC I'm gonna recommend either 4060 or 4070.
Well that would make sense. I undervolted my 6800 XT for the summer and got better performance with cooler room and less power usage. The Intel offerings are not that good in that department vs Nvidia and AMD using bigger node especially with 7600. So yes those make some sense even though the prices for everything are bad af.

They are very close in price.

Never thought that the 6800xt would be the best and smartest GPU purchase I have ever made. This is madness from Nvidia, and AMD. But especially Nvidia. WTF.............

Is it fair to say we have 4K capable consoles, at the price of FullHD desktop GPU? High profile title like StarField not even supporting DLSS can't be a good news for entry level GPU buyers. We're at the end of an era clearly.

People still trying to justify this release (even partially) are actually responsible for this kind of release somehow. This type of people is what gave NIVIDIA the guts they need to pull off this kind of anti-customer release . Leather Jacket clearly knows that this fanatic fan-base will eat up whatever s-h-i-t he throws at the table as long as their green-logo is attached to it.

1080p native looks awful, that is the problem https://imgsli.com/MTg4NTE1
Antialiasing is disabled in native mode. Otherwise, the image would be much better than DLSS. You can clearly see that DLSS mode takes away a lot of details. Someone is cheating here.

I see a lot of talk about AV1, is that better compared to h.264?

Are there any reviews where they used DLSS2/3? rather then spitting on the card how bad is it.

Day and night, h.264 is extremely old at this point, with Youtube and Twitch moving to accept av1 it's gonna become mandatory for anyone streaming. Despite this video being made by Nvidia themself, it does reflect my personal experience as well: [youtube=iVRN_GSJUEA]

Excellent review Boss @Hilbert Hagedoorn , spot on with the conclusion. nvidia selling point seems to push that AI frame generation and DLSS down our throat very hard , i don't like that , software as a selling point is a big no no for me o_O . This card is very underwhelming , too cut down and lower performance than what i expected 😳 . This card should be priced at $189 max $199 for what it is. After reading many reviews i have come to the conclusion that the AMD RX 7600 at $249 US dollars and the Intel ARC A750 at $229 US Dollars ( prices of newegg brand new ) are a whole lot better buy and offer almost equal performance and experience at 1080p , just choose the lesser evil when buying a gpu for 1080p , the cheapest RTX 4060 cost is $300 US dollars at newegg at this moment wish is a big no no , overpriced way too much. The gpu pricing situation is in a very weird spot right now as at this performance level in my opinion they are all overpriced 😱 , be it AMD RX 7600 , Intel ARC A 750 and this Nvidia RTX 4060. Even my tweaked overclocked sff AMD 5700G can play games at 1080p 60fps so , there is that. What a sad time for the gpu market 🙁.

Same here on RX6800 , aged like good wine, and i was about to take 3070...but 8GB was abvious disaster to happen , any enthusiast knew. In 2 years, 3060Ti will eat 3080 10gb once the vram buffer is dry.

3060ti has only 8gb and 3060 has 8/1212gb. My best friend thought I was crazy when I told him not to buy 3060ti, 3070, 3070ti and just get a 3060 12gb if he cant afford a 3080 10gb. He needed an nvidia gpu for work as well, not just gaming. He cant buy a new gpu every 2 years anymore. I had the chance to get a 6800xt or 3080 10gb for the same price. I know in some games, the 6800xt would be slower for a while, and that the 3080 might do a little better with higher resolution but the 6800xt would last me longer. Ive already pushed 13-14gb vram in some games now at 5120x1440.
